The War Within by Tye Shirelle

I would like to Thank Tye Shirelle for the opportunity to read and review your book.

Faced with a heinous betrayal by the person she loves the most, Kira's illness spirals out of control. Lack of treatment surrenders her to reckless behavior and uncontrolled actions. Can she ever forgive Avery for her treachery? Will Avery be able to get passed Kira’s reaction and love her enough to fight to repair the damage their relationship endured? Can they keep their family together?

Review

Where do I start, I liked that we get to read about a lesbian couple and we get to see how Avery and Kira make their marriage work and you see the love they have for each other. We get to read about Kira having been raised by a bipolar mother and also being bipolar, we see the struggles she goes through, the inner turmoil, that war within.

We start with the Prologue which introduces us to Kira on what she dealt with as a child I felt this was a great start to the book, then we jump to the present where Kira has just given birth to their second child a daughter and trying to bounce back to her daily life of being stay at home mom while Avery works. We are introduced to friends Evie and Emma the two E's both great. Everyone wants to be there and support Kira and it seemed to upset Kira at times, like she was not capable of taking care of the kids. Kira really is a strong woman to go through what she goes through, I couldn't imagine doing it.

Then there is the big betrayal and I was waiting for it, while I was reading the scene where she is being told I thought I had missed it and I'm like what was it what did she do!!!

and then I was left speechless. I honestly do not know what I would do in that situation, because this is real life, this can really happen, this book was not about werewolves, vampires, people with superpowers this was real life happening here!! We see Kira struggle with her illness everyday and then to find out that her illness in a sense had a hand on why Avery did what she did. Kira really needed to decide what to do to stay or to go. I kind of understand why Avery would do that, but it would hurt to find out like that and loosing that trust is hard. Again a great read and cant wait to read the next one!! Thanks again.

How can his Kindred dog help him overcome the forces threatening to destroy him and all that he loves? When Brogio must turn Snow, a beautiful white husky, in order to save the dog, a series of events are unleashed that reveal a sinister plot against the father of all vampires. As life and true death experiences bond the two together, they unravel a conspiracy that when resolved may return Selene, the love of Brogio’s life, back to him and set him free from the lonely existence that has plagued him for thousands of years

Review

When I started reading this book I really didn't know what to expect, we are reading from the point of you of Snow Blood a white husky now a vampire, new to this world and trying to control his blood lust.

At first Snow Blood is upset with Brogio for turning him and taking him away from his old family, but he starts to adapt and starts to trust and care for Brogio. He is loyal and brave and smart. It felt strange for me reading about Snow Blood as a vampire. As we read on we start to learn more about Brogio how he became the first vampire, how he suffers still by the hands of the Gods Apollo and Artemis. We see Snow Blood want to help Brogio be happy and be with is love Selene, You cant be more loyal than Snow Blood. I was not too crazy about Brogio or Selene to be honest. There was some good fight scenes and crazy how the vampires could change their forms to be these hideous beasts. I felt the book ended on a good note and things wrapped up well.

Would like to thank Netgalley for gifting me this book for a honest review.

The Endangered Blog Tour!!!!! BY S.L. Eaves

                        The Endangered
FIVE STARS!!!!

S&D Industries is a prominent pharmaceutical company based in New York. It has, for many years, appeared to exist only for the benefit of humanity, and this year's chief product seems no different. The company's CEO, whom we know only as Striden, announces the imminent delivery of a powerful flu vaccine. The true purposes of S&D are anything but philanthropic, however. The newly-engineered drug does not protect against flu. It turns people into werewolves.

The only group which stands a chance of resisting this change is a population of vampires. The foremost of them, who go by the name of The Endangered, are determined to turn back the mass werewolf infestation. Among them are an ambitious rebel named Catch and Lori, Catch's newly-turned protege. Catch has brought this treacherous world to Lori's doorstep and both their worlds are turned upside-down in the process. Secrets are exposed, alliances are formed. Blood is spilled as the vampires must do everything in their power to preserve both their own kind and that of their food supply.

Review:

Wow!!! Loved it!!!! This war between the werewolves and the vampires....

We see Lori really struggle with being turned a vampire, she was happy with her life and didn't want to leave it behind, she didn't want to be part of this world, she has these feelings for Catch and feels this pull towards him. Now she is thrown into this war and must learn how to fight. I liked that she didn't except this new life with Catch, she mourned her old life and when she finally gets some answer on why she was turned she finally starts to except this new life and she is smart , really brave and can kick butt.

Then there is Catch, he is new to the whole maker issue and caring for someone is hard for him. He doesn't show a lot of emotion, Lori brings that out him, makes him feel. He loves being a vampire and didn't understand why it was so hard for Lori to move on, but you see him protect her, especially in the beginning he was worried about letting her out on missions and her going out without him and they make a good team.

There was a lot of action!!! It did remind me of the Underworld which I loved. We get some great characters too, Crina, Quinn and Trent to name a few. So much is going on with trying to stop the werewolves and secrets coming out.

Okay so here is where I had a issue and I mean a BIG ISSUE!!! Why Catch? I couldn't believe what I was reading,

I re read that scene a couple of times just to make sure.

I couldn't believe it, I was lost and devastated as Lori. That's how war is I guess but why?. I really liked Lori that she mourned here and then after she kicked butt and she got her revenge. Great read!!!! Thank you for the opportunity to read your book and to be part of this blog.

New Cover Reveal!!!! by David Estes, Super Excited!!

Brew synopsis

Salem’s Revenge strikes without warning or mercy, ravaging the powerless human race under the forces of united gangs of witches, wizards, and warlocks. During the slaughter, Rhett Carter's foster parents and sister are killed, and his best friend and girlfriend are abducted by a gang of witches calling themselves the Necromancers, who deal in the dark magic of raising the dead. Rhett’s sword-wielding neighbor with a mysterious past saves Rhett from becoming another casualty of the massacre and teaches him the skills he needs to survive in this new world.

Rhett is broken, his normal high school life of book blogging and football playing shoved in a witch-apocalyptic blender. The only thing he has left is his burning desire for revenge. Armed with his new witch hunting skills and a loyal, magic powered dog named Hex, he sets out into the unknown with one mission: hunt and destroy those who took away everyone he ever loved.

But Rhett isn’t just a witch hunter; he has secrets of his own that he has yet to discover, secrets that his enemies will stop at nothing to keep him from.

And discovering the truth about himself is the human race’s only hope.
