The Raven Cycle (So far) Reviewed by Mariela

SYNOPSIS

Every year, Blue Sargent stands next to her clairvoyant mother as the soon-to-be dead walk past. Blue herself never sees them—not until this year, when a boy emerges from the dark and speaks directly to her. His name is Gansey, and Blue soon discovers that he is a rich student at Aglionby, the local private school. Blue has a policy of staying away from Aglionby boys. Known as Raven Boys, they can only mean trouble.

But Gansey is different. He has it all—family money, good looks, devoted friends—but he’s looking for much more. He is on a quest that has encompassed three other Raven Boys: Adam, the scholarship student who resents all the privilege around him; Ronan, the fierce soul who ranges from anger to despair; and Noah, the taciturn watcher of the four, who notices many things but says very little.

For as long as she can remember, Blue has been told by her psychic family that she will kill her true love. She never thought this would be a problem. But now, as her life becomes caught up in the strange and sinister world of the Raven Boys, she’s not so sure anymore.

My thoughts

I love Gansey, he is the man!!!!!!!

Blue, what the heck are you doing with Adam?

Adam, I am proud too, but love is more powerful!

Noah, I didn't see it either in the Sixth Sense Movie!

Ronan, You rock my man!!!

Neeve, you are not my cup of tea!

SYNOPSIS

The second installment in the all-new series from the masterful, #1 NEW YORK TIMES bestselling author Maggie Stiefvater!

Now that the ley lines around Cabeswater have been woken, nothing for Ronan, Gansey, Blue, and Adam will be the same. Ronan, for one, is falling more and more deeply into his dreams, and his dreams are intruding more and more into waking life. Meanwhile, some very sinister people are looking for some of the same pieces of the Cabeswater puzzle that Gansey is after…

My thoughts

Adam, I am about to slap you! But you turned around so no hard feelings!

Gansey, I can kiss you but those hugs you give are to melt for!

Ronan, seriously my man! seriously, like honestly seriously, just one word Intervention!

Noah, damn you got lucky, smooch, smooch!

Blue, I am sorry girl!!!

SYNOPSIS

The third installment in the mesmerizing series from the irrepressible, #1 NEW YORK TIMES bestselling author Maggie Stiefvater. Blue Sargent has found things. For the first time in her life, she has friends she can trust, a group to which she can belong. The Raven Boys have taken her in as one of their own. Their problems have become hers, and her problems have become theirs. The trick with found things, though, is how easily they can be lost. Friends can betray. Mothers can disappear. Visions can mislead. Certainties can unravel.

My thoughts

Wow, I did not see that coming!!!

Oh for the love of  Ravens and Tarot Cards, many people told you to not wake him up!!!!

Neeve, you are still not my cup of tea!

There is more, I am suffering from withdrawal stress!!!!

Final Thoughts

Oh holy smokes, boys with glasses and ravens have never been so sexy. I have developed the nerdist crush on Gansey, jeez, he is the cutest, smartest and chivalrous of all. I cannot  just review book by book, the story just goes on, from Gansey and his search for the sleeping king, Adam and his fight with himself, Blue and her determination to not love Gansey, and my dear poor Ronan and his dreams. It would not be fair to just review one by one.

I need to be honest and share with all of you that if it wasn't for my co-blogger-roomie-book friend, Minerva, I would have never read this series, even though she just has read the first one, I have to say that I love this series, I am like in stalking mode and trying to find releases so my claws hands can reach this incredible story.

I admire Maggie Stievfvater and her incredible talent to unite this characters and bring to life the Raven Cycle.
